Upper Leacock Township back to top

The map at the left shows Upper Leacock Township, Lancaster County, PA. The township is primarily served by two fire companies, Upper Leacock and Bareville. A small area of the south west area of the township is served by the Witmer Fire Company. Maps below show a street level detail of running areas in the township. ULFC is the first-due fire company in approximately 2/3 of the township (9.2 sq. miles). However, the two fire companies run most dwelling and building fires together. This allows more apparatus and manpower to respond in a timely fashion.

The above map shows a street level detail of the first-due area of the Upper Leacock Fire Company. The remainder of the eastern part of the township is served by the Bareville Fire Company (Station 3-1). The southwestern area is served by the Witmer Fire Company (Station 4-10).  The red lines indicate hydranted streets.  The red circle is the location of the ULFC, and the two blue dots indicate standpipes for the area.

Mutual Aid Area (primary) back to top

Mutual aid is a vital program to most fire companies in Lancaster County. The yellow hilight on the map at the left shows the running area where Station 3-11 is the first-due company. The map also shows the the primary companies that the Upper Leacock Fire Company assists through mutual aid. However, Air 3-11 covers a much larger area as the first due air truck on many second alarm assignments to other neighboring companies.
