Section 3    Apparatus Emergency Response Guideline

 

  1. All Fire Company Members are expected to adhere to the Apparatus Emergency Response Guideline. This guideline outlines which piece of apparatus responds first during dispatches for assistance.
  2. Response Guideline
    Structure, Building, Barn, and Dwelling fires (1st due) Engine 3-11-2

    (2nd due) Engine 3-11-1

    (3rd due) Air 3-11

    (4th due) Squad 3-11

    Engine Company Transfer (1st due) Engine 3-11-1
    Automatic Fire Alarms (1st due) Engine 3-11-2

    (2nd due) Engine 3-11-1

    (3rd due) Air 3-11

    (4th due) Squad 3-11

    Vehicle Accidents (1st due) Engine 3-11-2

    (3rd due) Air 3-11

    (3rd due) Squad 3-11

    ALL OTHER RESPONSES (1st due) Engine 3-11-2

    (2nd due) Air 3-11

    (3rd due) Engine 3-11-1

    (4th due) Squad 3-11

     

  3. Traffic 3-11 is permitted to respond on all dispatches in no specific order provided that the Fire Police are staffing the unit.
  4. A Chief Officer or Officer in charge has the right to request a certain apparatus response that does not follow this guideline under certain circumstances that he or she deems necessary.
  5. No one is permitted to deviate from this response guideline UNLESS you have obtained permission from a Chief Officer or the Officer in charge.

     

  6. Under NO circumstance should any apparatus respond to an EMERGENCY call if there is insufficient staffing or an inexperienced crew aboard to perform the duties assigned.
